Castle Wall Design Set
(3 sizes available)

Oooooooo, another Inklingo design set by Linda Franz!  I have quite a few Inklingo sets, but I couldn't resist another one.  So yes, I got it, too.  :o)

Don't you just love the fabrics Linda used for this block.  They just make me smile  because they are so gentle and comforting.  Wouldn't this make a great Breast Cancer quilt for that special someone who is ill and fighting that battle.  As for myself, it just looks sweet and comforting, so I guess it is next on my list.  :o)

Quilting in Space!

Dear quilting friends,

You need to watch this great "quilting in space" video!!!

WOW!  Just think what she could have done with INKLINGO to make it sooooooo easy to create a quilt block in space!  She wouldn't have needed all that paraphernalia, plus, accuracy would not have been an issue since Inklingo is so accurate for both hand and machine piecing.  Watch this video, then read more on the subject, below the video.

After you watch the video, go check out Inklingo.com to see how it would have made her quilting in space more convenient.  You can see some Inklingo videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/LindaFranz

You can read about the rules for the Astronomical Quilts Block Challenge here:  https://quilts.com/home/contests/viewer.php?menu=entries&page=../../contests/y2013/2013AstronomicalChallenge

The block needs to be 9.5 inches unfinished. Although there are a variety of star blocks you could make from Inklingo design sets, I think it would be fun to make a "54-40-or fight" star block from Inklingo's newest design package, Celtic Solstice.

You can watch a portion of the block being constructed here:

Happy quilting!
"54-40 or Fight" Block from Inklingo.

Inklingo and Bonnie Hunter teamed up for a Mystery Quilt using regular cutting tools, or Inklingo's newest design set "Celtic Solstice."  The project may be sewn by machine or by hand and Linda has provided some great videos and PDF's to help us through it.  You can click on the name above to  check out the Inklingo design set, then go to the Inklingo Blog to see all the information Linda has provided for it.  Although I was unable to participate in this project due to health issues, I look forward to doing it at a later date.  Fun, fun!

I am a long-time quilting enthusiast, making my first quilt in 1985.  I grew up sewing, thanks to an amazing seamstress mother.  I learned to make my own clothes at an early age, eventually making  clothes for my family.

I do love to create beautiful quilts.  You are welcome to join me as I share my quilting experiences.
